I'm sorry I missed your call. J's baby shower was really pleasant, and as I'd suspected, her friends are all really friendly and creative -- and many seem to have really nice houses. She loved the class gift, and as I predicted, cried.
I miss you very much. I have a 4-day weekend and am really wishing you were here with me. Maybe we'd go to Philly, or finally do the 4-hour trip to Boston via Chinatown bus. Or head up to my mom's house, since she's out of town (she's in CA). Or we could just have brunch.
I'm really looking forward to Portugal! I think I found a place to stay in the Algarve, specifically in the small fishing town of Salema. It's basic but walkable to the beach:
